Chiswick Park - Case Study

The Chiswick Park intranet concept was originally designed by the HD Group. As the advisors to Stanhope plc, their role was to work as designers and advisors on the system content, use of branding and the interface look and feel. Due to our level of technical ability HD Group chose Linear Blue to develop the intranet system.

By employing tools such as FileMaker and Lasso we were able to rapidly build a seamless, high speed, intranet and integrated content management system for the Park.

All content is now produced and maintained by the estate management staff. The interface is intuitive, requires no technical knowledge and allows the user to update the intranet instantly.

The Chiswick Park Intranet is accessed by thousands of tenants every day, providing them with relevant news, special offers and other useful information. It has become so successful that it is now one of the major selling points of the business park.

Buckinghamshire Golf Course - Case Study

The Buckinghamshire Golf Course is a top 100 UK course based in Denham. They required a new website which could not only reflect the image of the course, but also offer a high level of functionality to its members.

The main challenge of this project was to achieve an effective balance of style and usability. It was also felt that the website needed to be animated at some level to represent the atmosphere and status of the course on the website.

One of the largest technical challenges was making sure that a site the size of this one (built solely using flash) would not be effected by long loading times. To resolve this issue the site was built so that sections of the site could be loaded only when the user required them, thus minimizing the loading times and keeping the user experience .

The site is also partly powered by an online MySQL database which allows the site administrators to control certain elements on the website. This also controls a members login area for news, competitive results as well as a feed for the local weather information.
